How you water and fertilize your garden

Your part keeps the books on schedule. It is short and simple.

  • Keep business and personal expenses separate.
  • Share bank, credit card and merchant processor statements by the 5th of the following month in Google Drive, or give us online access.
  • Send payroll reports after each payment run.
  • Upload receipts to the shared Google Drive within one week of a purchase.
  • Answer categorization questions within 48 hours.
  • Review your financials and ask about anything that is unclear.
  • Tell us about loans, major purchases or significant business changes.

Trial period

Every engagement begins with a 3-month trial for both parties.

Scope & pricing alignment

Our rates apply to baseline business complexity. Transaction volume, the number of accounts and operational complexity affect bookkeeping hours, so we use the first 3 months to measure your actual baseline. If your needs consistently run higher, we'll talk about adjusting your package.

Trial period termination

During the first 3 months, either party may end services with 30 days' written notice if the partnership isn't the right fit.

Standard termination

After the trial, the relationship becomes a standard ongoing agreement that requires 60 days' written notice from either party.

Payment terms & conditions

Clear guidelines for a smooth, uninterrupted partnership.

Billing cycle

Monthly bookkeeping is billed in advance on the 1st of each month for that month's services.

Due date

Invoices are due on receipt, with a grace period until the 7th of the month.

Payment methods

We accept ACH and bank transfer.

Late payments

Invoices unpaid after the 10th may pause services and add a $35 late fee to the following invoice. Services resume promptly once the balance is cleared.

One-time projects

Onboarding and clean-up work requires a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due when your clean books are delivered.

Referral reward

Each new monthly client you refer earns a $100 credit on your next invoice, with no limit.

Common questions

Do you work with businesses outside New York and New Jersey?

Our focus is New York and New Jersey, where we know the state filings well. If you operate elsewhere, reach out and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Can we work together in Spanish?

Yes. Sí. Meetings, explanations and questions can happen in English or Spanish, whichever you are most comfortable with.

What does "Breaking the ground" cost?

Restoration is priced by how far back your records need to go and how many transactions are involved. After reviewing your accounts we give you a quote. A 50% deposit starts the work and the rest is due when we deliver your clean books.

Is payroll really included in the monthly plan?

Yes. Basic payroll processing and statutory filings are part of Monthly Gardening. Standalone payroll is also available for $50/month if you do not need full bookkeeping.

Do I need QuickBooks Online?

We work in QuickBooks Online. If you don't have it yet, we'll set it up. If you'd rather run your own books, our one-time QBO setup & training gets you started.

Do you provide legal advice for business formation?

No. Business formation is a clerical service: we prepare and file government forms based on the information you provide. For legal questions about structure or liability, consult an attorney.

Ready to establish your financial ground?

Tell us where your books stand today. We'll walk you through the right next step, in English or Spanish.
